Interactive Websites
Today's interactive websites are built using "content management systems" or CMS for short. A CMS offers two outstanding advantages to website owners:
- If you can access the internet, you can update your own site: post the latest news, new tourdates, new photos, etc, without fear of "breaking" the site.
- Engaging features like Twitter feeds, music players, polls, tour calendars, photo galleries, commenting, a simple shopping cart, and message boards can be integrated into CMS sites for surprisingly little added expense.
Website maintenance
YOU CAN DO THIS
Your website will work harder for you if it is kept up to date. Once you've invested in a site, don't let it languish. You or a member of your staff can log in and update your content without needing to know how to code. Part of my service includes teaching you how to make basic updates to your content.
OR LET ME HANDLE IT
Some busy clients prefer to focus on what they do best--running their own business--and contract with me to handle updating. If that works better for you, we can work that out. I strive to post updates on the same day they are received, and while I'm at it, I handle routine maintenance like making a fresh backup of the site.
Pricing and terms - I aim to be affordable.
Prices for a customized and detailed website generally range from $850 to $2500. If these prices are out of your range, we may still be able to work together on a simpler site that is less customized.
Terms
Once we have settled on the scope of your website project, I will quote a price that is a flat fee for the project. This is payable in two parts, one at the beginning of the work and the other just before the site is launched. Once I have accepted your project and your payment, I work hard to achieve a rapid turnaround time.
